This is one of my irrational bug bears with football. Teams changing kits when there's no need. We've always worn blue and white at Southampton when I've been. Glasgow Rangers did it on Sunday against Livingstone and the shorts they wore clashed with the home teams whereas their normal ones wouldn't have.
I'm often heard shouting at teams about this at Loftus Road, much to the indifference of the people around me. Should be a law against it |

My daughter is currently travelling and at the moment is living and working in Melbourne. She has no knowledge of cricket. I was telling her what a big event the Boxing Day test was and how I'd love to go. She messaged me this morning at half five saying "Guess where i am?" There she was in the MCG having been given a ticket of someone who couldn't go. My wife asked her how she liked it. Her response? "It was very slow"

I was going to mention exactly that game. They cheated and time wasted the whole game. Got exactly what they deserved. I think it was some converted centre half playing up front for them, Rob Newman? who scored

That's quite an achievement. I don't think I saw us win between October and March that season. On another note, Sky sports News did a feature yesterday about fantastic goals that meant nothing in the wake of the Richarlison goal on Sunday. They showed about seven or eight and we were responsible for two, Austin's against Southampton and Phillips against Palace. Again, quite an achievement considering we've had three Premier league seasons in thirty years |

I went to see the Wedding Present at the 100 club a few years ago with a couple of mates, probably all early 50's at the time. They were more into them than me so went right to the front while I remained near the bar. When the gig began they were in a mosh pit of about twelve fellow middle aged blokes. To say it was tame would be polite, but they were enjoying themselves. The best bit was at the end when they all shook hands with each other before sloping off. |

I beat Iwan Thomas in the Reading half marathon a good few years back. Ran him down and overtook him with about a mile to go. Obviously he had no idea we were racing each other |
