I can't believe I'm sticking up for the management, but I think with Field their hands were tied. I doubt JS wanted to lose Field as an experienced cover, but after bringing in Edwards and the mystery FW'd from Coventry we had obviously exceeded our budget, which we were probably already over... Field would have been the only possible exit, with decent money coming in and a salary being saved with the loan. With Cook, why are we creating mental contracts where we give out clauses to players at x games, or extensions we don't want to honour? This is too important to much around with. Some of these other signings we've made recently are going to be future issues, when they get into year 4 or 5 of their deal and expect whatever is promised to them, but end up in the reserves, frozen out. This must be what is happening, the players aren't stupid, they all talk to eachother. So, if they perceive that a player has been mismanaged through injury or contract negotiations then they must be wondering when is it my turn?! I'd love to see some people held accountable for this current mess. The CEO didn't mind being ruthless with 23 olds still in the DS, lets see if he can do the same to performance teams who can't get them to performs, recruitment teams who can't recruit players to fit our club, defensive coaches who can't stop us conceding, the list goes on... |

I noted from Jimmy Dunnes comments after the game he thought maybe some of the players didn't know exactly what the plan was?! That doesn't make sense to me, they must have spent some time going over the patterns of play. I'm sure a professional footballer can understand two or three different formations. Like someone said earlier, conceding so early probably killed the plan to stifle the game and keep it 0-0 as long as possible? That looked like a team (first half at least) that just didn't give a toss. I don't know what the answer is, are the team waiting for someone to get into them at half time? I can't believe any of the senior players are happy with those standards? We can't do all the remaining games like this, somethings got to change |

My main gripe is the pause/resume function. With young kids I sometimes need to pause the feed and sort something out. Every single time I resume the feed will cut to the live output and break the time slip. Recently meaning it will resume showing us one or two goals down, which doesn't help lighten the mood... I've used a few streaming apps and they all handle this simple function better. |

Good shout with Charlie, we could only get him the first time around because he had failed a medical. I'm not sure he was ever fully fit, his shoulder strapping was immense, I think it used to dislocate all the time? |
 | Forum Reply | WLS - Edwards might be moved into QPR’s midfield at 12:59 11 Mar 2026
I doubt any club would have paid a loan fee for Morgan that matched the one we got for Field, and the salary saving was needed to allow the Edwards signing. But, yes, in an ideal world this is what should have happened. I wonder if it was an option to loan out Hayden and keep Field? Field is much more useful, and maybe cheaper than Hayden? |

I think Sam Field had a pretty poor injury record at West Brom for what its worth. I agree though, more due diligence must be done. The only successful rehab I've seen this season is for RND (a Sheff Utd players!) who we have managed the fitness of, avoiding three game weeks etc to put in a season with more apps than hes had in a while. I'm sure his parent club will be happy with that, as it pushes up any money they might get for him. Hopefully not from QPR this time! |

Do you think Joey would have got on well with Nourry? You know JB thought he was a dead ball specialist. Maybe they both have delusions of grandeur? |

He's not still based in Dubai is he? I'm sure that was the other season, when he was also at Brooklyn Nets working some magic on their availability. He was billed as a consultant then, but since coming back I think he is Heston based, or at least in the canteen |

Agreed, I think all the years of mediocrity and the fans are more than surprisingly sanguine about getting tonked three games in a row. Maybe someone should stop cutting their hair or something like that plastic Man Utd fan? I think after another murder at Birmingham the coach will probably go, which is a shame, as I'm not sure he's done a lot wrong, but I doubt the club can afford to pay him off and find a replacement, maybe Nourry has been working on his coaching badges as well? |

So its not Ben Williams telling Kolli in the canteen that he's not in the first team? Did something else happen that only the chosen 100 can talk about? |

We've seen a few threads where RND is described as a steady Eddy 7/10 left back (when he plays) I disagree. I think 7/10 is his high ceiling not his median. I assume he's on ex PL wages and would be at the top of our pay scale. The Championship has got better to offer, for a lot less. -- More than half the teams we've played have had a better left back, and I guarantee most of them were cheaper |

I saw a cracking photo on Twitter of a footballer chucking up on the pitch after one of those "energy" gels didn't want to stay in his body. Have you ever drunk/eaten some of that garbage? From watching some of the Ben Foster videos the plain pasta pre match seems pretty standard fayre, and he was moaning about eating a dinner in the morning as well |

Reminded me of Darnell against Crystal Palace, when Zaha and Bolasie took turns 2v1 while SWP was counting hi wages in front of him. I think that game alone set him back a whole season, shambles. If you've got 1 player not pulling their weight its a struggle, yesterday, I reckon there was half the team on the beach |

Great post. Character has a huge part to play. We've got players in this squad like Isaac Hayden who have got loads of experience, some in the Premier League. Where is their professional pride, where they haven't even managed to lay a glove on the oppo? OK, so maybe you are not as skilful, as the other team, but you should be able to run as hard, tackle, want the ball, chase back? These are all basics. What I saw yesterday was disgraceful, and looked like most of the team "swinging a leg, stealing a living" If it was possible I'd not play half that squad again for the rest of the season, absolute jokers |

It'll take some spin to blame the fitness on the recruitment, but I'm sure Christian can have a go at it. Sorry you can't see your favourite players |

"Ello mate wanna buy a Championship football club?" --Sure, how much? "Well, we spent a lot to buy it, and we built a training ground, so lets say £250m?" --WHAT! "Oh yeah, and the ground is the oldest in London, so you have a limited capacity with no room to expand" "Currently it loses £2m a month, every month, before a ball is kicked" If anyone wants to say yes to any of the above, then maybe they aren't the kind of owner we want? However, it might be time to look at the Chairman, CEO and DoF after yet another season of treading water at 16th. This year has arguably been a bigger push than in the Warbs season where we stated we were looking for the playoffs. I think this year, much like a Varane pass we have gone backwards. Our key aims have all been missed, I don't see any tangible player sales, our youth development has been poor and our fitness/performance is a joke. If this was any of us in our respective jobs the big boss would want a chat and our excuses need to be lined up. --I don't see the manager as the problem this time, unless he has lost the dressing room! |
