Kane is head and shoulders ahead of any other centre forward that England currently have. Who else is there? Ollie Watkins and Ivan Toney have now gone to semi retirement in the middle East, Rashford is more of a wide player. I genuinely cant think of anyone who has been in the squad or who plays regularly in the league, Solanke, DCL? Nowhere near as good as Kane. |

I think we all thought that City's lawyers would tie the PL up in knots during the independent commission but its been the complete opposite. They've offered nothing in terms of counter evidence and are bang to rights on a massive scale.
The sanction needs to be imminent and it needs to be huge. |

Now that the PL have released the Pepstein Files, what do we think the punishment will be.
Saints got thrown out of the play offs plus a four point deduction for having a young lad watch the opposition with a set of binoculars.
Everton got two punishments for a total of 8 points for being in breach by a total of 25m for the interest on a loan for the stadium build. Forest, Leicester, Sheff United have all received points deductions in the past year, whilst the likes of Reading and Wigan have also been battered by points deductions in recent years, whilst Bury went out of business with the EFL offering zero support or compassion.
Surely City’s crime should be comparable with the above. The deduction alone would amount to hundreds of points.
They could and should end up in the conference. |

It doesnt need a snide like Phil McNulty to tell us that there's little excitement about being an Evertonian.
I dont feel sorry for any of those clubs that you mention, all of them are the biggest cry arses you could wish to meet as football fans without a hint of irony or awareness of the fact that they have everything handed to them on a plate, whether thats decisions week in, week out, picking players off every other club etc. Their clubs are on a different planet to the rest of us.
I dont think City fans have been that bad, given the circumstances. A lot of them I've met have enjoyed the ride but I wouldn't say that they have massively changed. I also dont think they have that many fans outside of Manchester.
Liverpool however have pretty much morphed into the Manchester United that they, as we, used to mock in the eighties and nineties. Their fanbase is pretty much the same as United's now, out of town for the games whilst the locals are tellyclapping. |

Chances are the fella who was supposed to contact the club and the press has now gone on his holidays and will do it when he gets back. |

Going through something similar with my dad. Worked all his life, served in the army, battled cancer last year and now has dementia and needs to go into care. Everything he has is instantly taken away from him and we are left to pay for the rest of it, which costs an absolute fortune. I dont begrudge that in the slightest, but it is incredible how we regard or disregard the elderly in our society in every way
I've said it before on here, there has to be a cross party agreement to shift the welfare state from dependency to point of need. So many people now are happy to have their basic needs met by the state from UB, housing benefit. child benefit etc and that is passed down generations with little to no contribution to the national 'pot' in addition to accessing all of the services, health care, future pensions etc. |

I saw the original article and ignored as clickbait for a rubbish journalist. He's classing success for the likes of West Brom as promotion which to be promoted, you have to be relegated in the first place. And to be in JPT you have to be in the third tier of English football so its swings and roundabouts.
It is crap being an Everton fan, in the same way it is for the vast majority of fans who were given no choice but handed this 'gift' at birth, but I wouldn't have it any other way. The whole of point of supporting a team is the blind biased optimism, the sense of belonging and the hope that success, whatever that looks like, is round the corner.
Now in the new stadium and the new pubs, there are about twenty five of us who meet up every home game and its brilliant, from my nephews, nieces, cousins, brothers, mates and their kids, its great.
On the otherhand my nephew has a ticket for Disneyland. He drives to the game, parks up, goes in by himself and sits around glory seekers with half and half scarves and Ipads., talking about xg's and being made up that the opposition winger got an assist as they have them in their fantasy football team. They are even allowed to have club branded rucksacks that they are permitted to take in with them.
I'd rather be an Everton fan than one of them, any day of the week. |

Everton got an immediate ten points deduction for one breach. This will rumble on for years for City whilst they continue to spend as much as they like, pay wages way off what everyone else can pay not forgetting they and other slimey six tried to screw over the entire English football pyramid. |

He got an assist last week for Alcarez (another woefully under used ex Saints player at Everton). He should have had another but KDH missed an absolute sitter from a brilliant Dibling cross. |

Didnt Brentford scrap their academy a few years ago as they were sick of bringing players through only for Chelsea to then come and sweep in when they were 15/16 and take them for nothing.
I'm amazed Saints still do so well with getting academy players coming through with Chelsea being all of the City's schools especially junior schools. |

I went to the rugby at HD in the Summer (the England rugby union game one). It was great to go and get up and get a pint whenever we wanted, drinking it watching the game.
However, I wasn’t that arsed about the game so wasn’t bothered about the constant moving around to let people into seats etc. I just don’t think it would work at the football, it would be a pain in the arse. It’s sound if you’re having a pint in the posh seats, you wouldn’t miss much of the game getting served, getting in and out of your seat etc. Being in a big stand though, it just wouldn’t work for me. |

When I started going the pub at 16/17, you agreed to meet your mates there and that was that. That was where you did your socialising or at least the starting point for the night. It’s very rare that you’d go to someone house or did an activity like the gym,play football, go to music etc without a pub being involved.
That’s just not the same now. They track each other on Snapchat, they go to the gym and then leave it at that, they drive to gigs FFS!
It’s all very different to how it was when I was younger, which on reflection wasn’t massively different to my dad’s generation, although didn’t realise it at the time. |

He got the assist the other night against Wolves. Everton do have some good young players, the worry is that Moyes won’t always play them, history shows that he will go for his favourites who tend to be older more established players. We will see. |

I don’t think Everton have got a squad big enough to loan him out, I think both him and George are going to be key players for them this season.
He does come across really shy particularly when it comes to the media stuff, but hopefully the club can protect him from that. George was interviewed after the United game the other week and he came across painfully shy too.
Dibling looks a different player this season, more settled. I think he’ll come good. |

He was man of the match* against Wolves the other night, playing the full game. Came on for half an hour yesterday and was excellent. Seems to have grown in confidence and Moyes is trusting him more. The majority of fans want him to start every game now and I think he will after the international break.
