They just said biggest upset ever, no team from sixth tier has ever beaten one from the top. Good luck to them. |
 | Forum Reply | Ronnie returns, but is it the handsome deal QPR hope? – Signing at 09:28 10 Jan 2026
With JCS effectively finished, Morrison invariably in twinge mode and Cook, much as I love him, visibly rusting before our very eyes, this signing does make sense. I’m thinking FFP is fast becoming yesterday’s problem. I’m sure there must be someone who’s taking a points hit for very recent profligacy offences but unless it’s of Sheffield Wednesday ‘sorry you can’t have your wages’ standard, it doesn’t seem to be on the leagues agenda any more. Hopefully we’re moving to an era where, if your Directors hands can reach the bottom of their pockets, then fill your boots. Keep it under the radar perhaps, an unwritten rule, we might get a better standard of football back in the EFL. |

Heard so many bad things about this ground I’m more interested to see it for myself at long last. Not too concerned if we get beat, I’m expecting a fairly straight forward 2 goal defeat at the very least and then onto Stoke. |

Always seemed he had on the field problems. |
 | Forum Reply | Still no West ham tickets at 08:09 9 Jan 2026
Same here too, my son ordered but I received them. Very nearly deleted his as I assumed one was a duplicate as two emails received simultaneously. Wouldn’t be surprised if some of these missing tickets fall into that category! |

Very good signing but a bit suss with the ball over the top. Nevertheless, good players aren’t cheap and players who remain fit are like gold dust. Don’t mind £4.5 mill if we can get JCS off the books, that’s been dead money for 3 of 4 seasons, probably not that far short of this £4.5 mill. Morrison hasn’t really progressed but we’ll get money for him for sure. Think we’re reaching the stage where the odd profit here and there is handy but chicken feed compared to the riches gained from going up. This league is pants this year and even if West Ham come down, it’ll still be overwhelmingly pants next year. Fair play to the owners, seems they may be coming round to this. |

Don’t know if anyone has noticed but in the space of a few early episodes they seem to have reduced it to an all white cast. I suspect the next conflict will be young versus old. First time I’ve watched a series, it’s actually a very clever examination of human nature and not necessarily in a good way. |

Like Mbengue, like the fact that even when he does lunge in for tackles, he can spin and catch up with the winger if he does get away. We’ve not had anybody that quick in that position for a long time. Can’t see us being in for anyone much in January, we’ll leave that until the summer. Another keeper is feasible, and a back up only for RND but aside of that, the way we’re set up, I’m not sure it’d be easy in a month to find better replacements. Box to box midfielders are a bit of a myth in the EFL, if they’re any good they’ll be in the Prem on Prem wages. |

The danger on a pitch this bad is the ball is bouncing harder and faster off the surface making control that little bit more difficult and results in unnecessary lunging to recover the situation. Wasn’t a dirty game but I can’t recall so many players going down with genuine injuries, either requiring extended treatment or leaving the field. I can understand the watering, better a quagmire than what’s going on at the moment. Club should be on the blower to the installers and have them spend the next three weeks sorting this mess out. |

Woman in front of us said Varane went off with a back-pass muscle injury, which made us laugh. |

Felt sorry for Wednesday, poorest side I’ve seen in this league since an abject Ipswich town around a decade ago. Some comical football from both sides during the second half, honestly think the other 22 teams would have beaten us on any other day. Hard to judge Kolli in a game like this, finishes were superb. That was the substance, I just hope the style doesn’t get in the way. You’re not Stan, just knuckle down and focus on being a good footballer. |

All the makings of a reenactment of the Rotherham/Bolton bottom two consecutive 1-2 home defeats in 18/19. If this lot have sussed us and get a result then we’re really in for a troublesome round 2 of the season. |

I thought Madsen again. His crisp passing and ability to quickly find a blue and white shirt even in performances like yesterday is like an oasis in a very big desert. The rest was utter bilge. |

well… worth a comment on the basis of how on earth has he found a way to stay in professional football. Mind you, Crawley have form on stupidity, didn’t they put DJ Mark Wright on the wing for a brief period. |

If that happened I’d be head of the queue for a front row sheet.Even more attractive if they raised it six feet. It looked like a farmers field waiting for some new crops to go in. |
