Bodde Says He Is Going Nowhere

Ferrie Bodde has claimed he is going nowhere after a Dutch article suggested he may be quitting the Liberty.

The report back in his native Holland suggested that he was being tracked by other clubs and could even be tempted back to his previous club - ADO Den Haag.

But the midfielder - so instrumental in the Swans form this season - dismissed the suggestions and told the Evening Post "I'm happy at Swansea and I'm disappointed with the magazine because what they wrote and what I said to them were not the same.

"It's as if I said to you now that I like bananas, and then in the paper the next day you write that Ferrie Bodde likes pineapples.

"When I gave the interview, I asked the reporter to send me an email of the piece so I could say what was correct and what wasn't," he adds.

"I did that and told him a lot of things were wrong, but he didn't change them.

"When I read it I said 'No, what's this?' and tried to ring him, but he didn't answer.

"I said to him when I read the email that I didn't know how he thought I'd said certain things. He said he wanted to make it juicier.

"What I want to make clear is that I'm happy in Swansea.

"My family comes first," he goes on, "because they are with you until you die and football is only a few years.

"But there's no problem at the moment.

"When I finish football, I will go back to Holland because that's where my life is.

"If my family were not happy now and wanted to go back I would look at it, but they are happy.

"Denny Landzaat just left Wigan for Feyenoord because Wigan was difficult for his child. That's right, but we're happy in Swansea.

"We have a nice team, nice supporters and good staff and we're winning most games," he adds.

"I'm enjoying it here, there's no doubt about that."
