Scott Sinclair insists that the Swans will bounce back from their derby day defeat at Middlesbrough on Saturday

The Swansea City wideman believes that - despite the 1-0 defeat to Cardiff City on Sunday - the Swans can bounce back and push on for automatic promotion this season.

Speaking to the Western Mail, Sinclair said “The squad is down but we can only move on from it

“We can’t do anything about the Cardiff defeat now, the game is done.

“We’ve got Middlesbrough away to look ahead to and we have to concentrate on that.

“We’ve bounced back a lot of times already this season I don’t think confidence will be an issue.

“We’ve just got to get on with it.

“Sometimes in a season there are going to be disappointments along the way, so we will take it on board and try and turn it around.

“The best thing now is that we bounce back and don’t get too disheartened by the one result.

“It was very disappointing,” he added.

“I thought we dominated the game in the second half but then conceded the late goal.

“I had a lot of space on the left flank and kept running at the full-back. I managed to create quite a few chances.

“As long as we are creating the chances that’s the main thing.”
