Bollox they haven’t been good the ref has f@cked us and after that the players have lost it. It’s down to the ref again. Including villa that’s 6 points we’ve been done for

Traore ran unchallenged to lay on the pass for the penalty and Neto turned Jannik inside out

If people think we’ll win the cup they need sectioning.

They said that in '76...

The team's capitulation in the second half was incredible. Wolves change it and we do nothing to counteract. They get a dodgy pen and the whole game changes yet again.
Apart from a couple of half chances and a JWP effort, we created nothing in the 2nd half and once again we showed no urgency in trying to get a result. Even in injury time with 6 players up too awaiting a good, they still pass it round the back or take ages to take a throw in FFS.

We really are our own worst enemies - how many times have we said that this season ? Far too many !!

Forster would have saved that Neto effort and leaving Adam’s out was an error
We cannot play for 90 minutes can we?!?
Ralph needs a win very soon or his time will run out
We aren’t safe yet, another 6 winless games and it’s gonna be tight AF

After we beat Liverpool I was looking for a nice stress free second half to the season and a good cup run but I am not so sure now.

Lets hope WBA and Fulham fail to pick up any form.

Pass it around at the back and McCarthy kicks it out of play on 93 minutes.

Well at least FF looks like he'll be starting from now on. Not just the kicking it out of touch - but also getting beaten from that angle by Neto.

McCarthy looks athletic but he's a poor keeper who had a purple patch. Teams have cottoned on to his weaknesses now. When they cut in from the byline he crouches down at the near post instead of standing tall and making himself big like Forster does. Also, because he always looks nervous, the nervousness spreads to the defence. Forster is a calm character and the defence have more confidence in him, which is why he keeps so many clean sheets even if he doesn't have to dive about a lot.

If McCarthy were a good keeper, he would save more penalties than he does. You can see he has no self-belief that he can save them and the penalty takers see that too.

Forster has saved 15 from 37
McCarthy has saved 3 from 26.

Of course, once again, the players were demoralised by key refereeing decisions going against them and that put them off their game. The 2 handball decisions could just as easily have gone the other way, and we'd have won 2-1. But, if Forster had been in goal, we could well have won 1-0 anyway. He has such a good record for saving penalties and he knows how to intimidate the penalty taker, and he would definitely have left no space for them to score thei 2nd goal from that acute angle. We paid the price for dropping a goalkeeper who has kept 4 consecutive clean sheets, including against Liverpool, Arsenal and Wolves, which is about as daft as dropping a striker who has scored all your goals in 4 consecutive 1-0 wins.

Poll: Les Reed in or out?

Wolves Game Premier League Matchday Thread on 14:12 - Feb 14 with 675 viewsDorsetIan

It's the same issue every time.

The first team is good and can dominate teams: first half. (Although not enough goals).

But when we start making subs, we inevitably weaken the team, so when we are trying to change things to respond to a setback or a surge from the other team, we just can't. The players just aren't there any more.

Add to that the fact that we are incredibly fragile psychologically because we are on such a bad run.

Next three PML: Chelsea, Leeds, Everton. Easy points!

Poll: Who is MOSTLY to blame for this joke season?

For the very first time this season - I'm looking down at those bottom 3 sides. Thank fook for all of them being as poor as they are!

I'm not worried. We've got 15 games to play and Fulham are 14 points behind us.

I can't see them doing better than us by an average of a point a game between now and the end of the season.

Particularly as they've only picked up 15 points from 22 games so far.

It's next season that we should be worried about. (And having to suffer more of this for a few more games!!).

Our losing of games and pints from winning positions really says something
We had a full strength 11 today and again we capitulated
This is no fluke there has to be a reason, mental or physical but it’s up to manager to sort it PDQ!

It was the manager's decision to drop Forster to the bench.
In the light of today's result, he has to justify that.
