"We were competitive in the first half and absolutely appalling in the second half."
Aside from that genius observation, he talks like we fans do, i.e. as if he's observing an event he can do nothing about. It's like he's forgotten that he's the one in charge!
Struggling to recall if I have ever witnessed such an uninspiring manager of men in my life. Totally lacking in any moral fibre as a leader. As for his tactics & football knowledge below average would be a massive overstatement. Clueless even with such a poor squad. Out of his depth, he needs to be put out of his misery for everyone’s benefit

Cognitive dissonance - the worst case of disassociation or detachment I’ve seen
Well he's not been sacked so maybe Coleman is suffering from the same thing?
Maybe not the most popular opinion but I feel sorry for Coleman. He clearly was severely hamstrung when working for K&L and since taking over with his co-investors he’s been trying to do the right thing. All with the financial constraints we are well aware of.
There is an investment of £20m+ which can’t help us at the moment and may only be enough to stand still. How did it get to this point?
Now he’s got the ‘stick it twist’ dilemma with LW and although he probably knows what he should do, he knows that he has to bring in better. Now most clubs’ hierarchy will always have contingency plans in place. I bet Man City keep a constant eye on managers’ availability even though it’s unlikely to be an issue. But you never know.
Hopefully, Coleman will have a list of managers who are available and who would improve the side. He’s not stupid, inexperienced at this type of ‘business’ maybe but not stupid. I’m sure he will do the best thing for the club and I’ll support him until I have reason not to.
