Merry Christmas I just come on here to talk about the Swans. Honestly not sure why you ask questions but donāt want answers to them. Or when you donāt have anything to say, you feel the need to speak anyway. Up to you though. |

I donāt need to keep notes. It was so bizarre itās hard to forget. This is the same sort of thing. Heās a backup. |

I like the formation, but Parker isnāt going to come in from no first team football and start straight away. Galbraith at wing back. If weāre going without wingers, Eom behind Vipotnik |

Remember when you campaigned for that journeyman keeper Hamer, who you had never seen play, to be first choice? Itās a bit like that. Casey is the logical choice of either of them get rested. |

Personally Iād still start Widell and bring Cullen on for him halfway through the second half when the gaps hopefully start to appear. Completely get where you and WR are coming from though. Big game, big atmosphere. |

Personally, I just donāt like formations that leave you outnumbered in midfield, regardless of the extra striker it gives you. Obviously itās fine when youāre chasing a game late on. Widdell or Cullen in between the midfield and Vipotnik Iād be much happier with. |

Agreed. Iām about 6 miles each way. Massive kudos to those who travel long distances for home games as well as those who traipse up and down the country to away games. Huge financial and time commitment šš» |

Chloe Kelly, to be fair, is a character. You could see how she would influence kids into getting interested in football. Iām not sure thatās really a part of it, despite the name, but her and Luke Littler have had huge impacts on the popularity of their sports |
 | Forum Reply | Stoke v Swans : The biggest test so far for Matos at 15:17 11 Dec 2025
He was their danger man certainly, but I agree, he didnāt actually threaten us that much. It was just a bit worrying when he got on the ball. Itās hard to be neutral, but Iād think a neutral watching that without knowing any of the players, would say Eom was more of a threat than Murphy. |
 | Forum Reply | Stoke v Swans : The biggest test so far for Matos at 13:15 11 Dec 2025
I agree. We looked much better at the back. We were very open at West Brom and the games before. I think weāve improved more than it looked against Portsmouth. Hard to really tell against teams who set up like them and Oxford. The onus will be on Stoke to come at us and that will give a better indication of where we are defensively, pressing and on the counterattack. |

So many valid reasons to dislike Wrexham and people are getting upset because their third kit is a knock off of Argentinas. Anglophilia can go to silly levels sometimes. I doubt many Hull fans cared. |

Idah is going to get the odd start but heās very much second choice. West Brom in the cup will probably be the next one. Heās really got to bust a gut when he does get an opportunity. I felt he let himself down a bit last night. Heās a better player than that. |
 | Forum Reply | Swansea City v Portsmouth : Match day thread at 16:27 10 Dec 2025
āNow he moves between the lines, he understands really well where to position himselfā Was exactly what I was trying to say above. Matos wants more from him and thatās a fair challenge. Iām not surprised Matos sees something in him, most managers do. |
 | Forum Reply | Cullen strike as Matos celebrates his first double ! at 14:55 10 Dec 2025
I think we may actually look better away from home against the better teams. Not saying weāll win, but itās difficult to play Matosā type of football against teams that come to play ugly. We looked more organised and threatening in the first half hour at West Brom than we did in either of the games we won this week. I donāt think it will fall apart Saturday. Even if we lose, I think weāll have decent spells and something to build on. |
 | Forum Reply | Swansea City v Portsmouth : Match day thread at 14:35 10 Dec 2025
He keeps getting picked though. Managers see things fans donāt. Heāll be involved in his fair share of games for us this season and Iād imagine Bellamy will bring him on against Bosnia if we are chasing the game. If weāre winning or settling for a point on 60/70 minutes, the same would apply to Fulton, who most fans also donāt rate. |

Vipotnik has grown on me massively this season. Cullen isnāt a better striker than either of them, but heās better than both, or probably anyone else in our squad, at making runs and picking up dangerous positions unmarked. Itās why he gets more chances. Vipotnik is much better with the chances he gets, but doesnāt get as many. I think youāre right about Matos finding ways to get Vipotnik more chances. I also think Cullen will be a part of that. Think about it. A run from midfield that draws a defender makes a striker easier to pick out a d creates more time and space for him to get a shot away. That makes sense surely? |
