Not only another Saints win, but I went to two gigs,

The first on Friday night at Shepherds Bush Empire I saw one of Liverpool's finest bands Shack, a very good performance although I did think they missed out playing a few of their best songs.

On Saturday I went to the 1865 in Southampton to see Sham 69, i had mixed thoughts of it, on one hand the songs they played were great and all the top ones were present, but they only played for 45 minutes which I though was a bit short for a so called man of the people Jimmy Pursey.

On that note Pursey himself who put Sham 69 up as the peoples band in 1977/78 and not punk rock posers, was dressed in head to toe in designer punk gear which I take was quite expensive.

On a similar note, I went to the game and then up to Wembley Arena to see The Reytons.

As hot a sauna as I have ever stood in for a gig.

Blinding gig though, well worth getting home at 3.30am after a rail replacement bus from Southampton to Bournemouth.

Poll: Would you take going down to League 1 if it meant new owners coming in?

Ready and waiting to mop up those European places......

What was the atmosphere like at Sham 69 Nick. Given the age demographic I just wonder what the crowd does these days. I doubt they pogo around these days. Do they just stand still and sing along or what?

The age demographic was about late 50's upwards, a few of them did pogo around a bit, but not many lol

I must be well out of touch because I've never heard of any of these bands & I'm sure that I'm not alone on that score.
But you cannot beat a good live Gig.

Would have liked to have gone on Friday but had to drive back home for the Forest game.

Which of their best songs did they not do?

I thought Natalie's Party and Beautiful would be part of the set list, but nope (though Id had a couple and may have missed them...)

They did do Meant To Be, which is one of my favourites of their's and a cover of Love's 'A House is not a Motel', which pleased me
