Why the rush to replace? He's not having a good season, but has been fairly consistent for us before 25/26.

He should be dropped from the first team I agree, but even if we bring a new right back in as first choice he would still be needed as a good cover option for the bench.

I think he's probably been out most consistent weak player this season (from the established players) and it's only natural as fans we look for the weakest link and take aim as the first place that needs improvement. Just part and parcel if the game I'm afraid.

The issue I have with the abuse Key gets is it's largely based on the assumption that he's no good at all, when in reality he has quite often in his Swans career been very good indeed. He is also another confidence player, and someone who I suspect benefits from clear instructions as to what his role is at all times.

He's also quite often been blamed for his managers decisions; IE Williams choosing to use the fullbacks in the way he did left wide open spaces in behind them, which apparently was Key's fault. For all the praise Tymon is currently getting, he was a victim of that too.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

He’s been consistently poor or average
We can do better
Galbraith needs to be main stage
Opinion
Some have ineffable love for him , hence the hate speech

Matos has seen fit to replace him after just one game so do the Math

Matos first “ hate” him either

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

Agreed. We can do better than Key. He has shown signs of improvement at times, and granted Williams tried to encourage him to float into midfield and compared him to Gareth Bale, but if we have any ambition to establish a higher placd each season we have to get a solid replacement. Key has had plenty of time and opportunities and sadly exposes us really badly. Galbraith is not immune from this, as Ronald helps closing the crosses, but Galbraith offers alot more across the pitch. Tymon is another, he still gets exposed sometimes, but has improved his defense side alot since last season and also brings assists.

Tymon is still not a good defender but he’s an effective player on the whole and knows how to cross a ball
Key doesn’t
We are not a charitable society and sentimentality is the last what we need
Players are well paid and we should not bleed for them
They don’t really give a fork what this forum contributors think , if they do , they need getting rid of asap

We need to nurture diamonds like EG though and some need to understand the difference Stamenic has JA made
Some not convinced by him
Some

It’s a tricky one tomorrow

Get a result tomorrow and it’s a new dawn

Still only brave with backup.

Course he isn't.
