Count Duku has matched Devante Rodney naming. Great Shot: Get in there, Rodney Poor shot: Oh Dave. Great Shot: Get in there, Dooku Poor shot: Oh Duckula (sic) As a Count, Duku is obviously related to Count von Count from Sesame Street, who "loves to count" therefore every goal he scores should be greeted with "one goal, mwahahaha, two goals mwhahahaha" etc |

Solihull are scoring goals for fun - 20 in their last 5 games. They also seem to have a fair few red cards in games of late (6 in last 12 games for/against) I’m expecting a very very tough game Weds. |

Southend should have gone 2 up. Was very open game until about 75 minutes when Southend ran out of steam and York camped in their half. |

Southend fast starters as we have seen before. York fast finishers as this season has shown numerous times. 0-1 could easily become 2-1 in the blink of an eye. |

Slow start, got better as half wore on. Good finish for the goal, had good chance to make it 2 not long after as the Gateshead back line went a bit loose after the goal. One or two slight scares at the back but unscathed. |

Tobi Gordon Eels Beckwith Taryn/Pritchard That’s the starting back 5 of preference in Sept. Beckwith out for the season Taryn/Pritchard both better further forward Tutonga injured Moss cover for Toni/Gordon Hosannah just back BJ has loaned in Galvin (now Carlisle) and Waller (1 month loan) Absolutely makes sense for him to recruit for these two positions for the rest of the season. Same with ‘i don’t need one mani, mani, mani, big jims got 2 manis, manis, manis’ |

Absolutely. The joy on players faces is unique in such situations and wonderful to see. A mixture of elation and incredulity of what they have just achieved. |

Harry Brook has today apologised for trouble with a bouncer in NZ the night before an ODI for which is was Captain. Story was that bouncer would not let him into a bar because he was drunk and he took a dink. £30,000 fine (max fine) |

Pritch got monstered by their number 2 (Benn) throughout the first half both physically and pace. Was hoping he and Tobi would swap when this became obvious mis-match. Galvin sub sorted that issue. With Hartlepool being jolly unsporting and pressing our back line, we got to see 2024/2025 style scare moments of us trying to lose the ball on the edge of our box numerous times first half. With the Sandy having kittens behind him, Broome and co went long but we kept rhe same Plan A set up. Gilmour and East 50 yards from the front line which meant any knock down was gobbled up by a Poolie. That is the take away from last night, working out how we play when opposition nullify Plan A. Well played Hartlepool, fantastic first half tactically and application. Second half Dark Arts skills shown also. Really good in midfield, aforementioned Benn outstanding going forward and pint-sized irritant Campbell a thorny problem throughout too. |

464 bus runs direct from Rochdale to Accrington centre, 20 min walk to ground. Only issue is last bus leaves at 21:25 back. Not useful for this game but can be used both ways for 2nd game on Sat. |
