Bayeux Tapestry
at 16:00 1 Oct 2026

Went on Tuesday in the 4.30pm slot, great experience, they have it well organised you file past it one at a time, you get around 40 minutes and do the tapestry shuffle. Was concerned beforehand it would be 5 deep but no you get up and close in a single row and move along the 70 metres of the tapestry. No filming or photos allowed, but you won't need to, you just get immersed in it.

Man City - GUILTY
at 13:33 30 Sep 2026

The EFL if they have the balls should continue hard line to drive a better deal with the Premier League on the 10 year solidarity payment negotiations that are currently stalled, maybe all the Man City stuff is a part of why things are held up. Think the offer so far is well below what the Prem league can afford to pass down the chain. But as we know you can't let the little people get too big it might upset the big boys too much and their entitlement to get their hands on the vast pot of money that washes up into their hands, while the rest of the football pyramid fights for scraps from their table.

Is this the start of the potential collapse of top tier football and the massive re-balancing that is so sorely needed, probably not but you never know. The protectionism at the top of the game is beyond belief, whether anything really changes from Man City's potential fall from grace remains to be seeen. Think we sort of all know that this whole murky World of football finance that has gone on really uncontrolled for decades but has been accelerated when the Premier League started in the early 90s, genie was let out of the bottle and it won't go back in. There is cheating and there is cheating, but as we know most of it goes on off the field in the beautiful game.

England v Spain....thread...if interested.
at 22:42 26 Sep 2026

Good game, turned for us on the missed penalty, but Spain are a classy outfit. Bellingham is a truly World class player, thought he was great tonight. Think their subs changed the game, ours were flat. Again Tuchel takes Gordon off and we lose a game, his subs tactics has been poor, Calvert - Lewin and Garner hardly game changers, while Spain bring on quality.

Yes a decently large fine with the procceeds getting passed down the football pyramid and a significant points deduction that is spread over a number of seasons that makes them really work to get back to be competitive, the points deduction should roll over and applied for say 5 seasons, so if they get a 100 point deduction then they lose 20 points per season for 5 years. Starting with the Prem or if they fail to stay up then the next league down. I sort of feel automatic demotion down the EFL is unfair to the other teams fighting to be competiive and just makes a bit of mockery of it all.

He showed on Saturday what we were told that Poku was all about when we signed him, hopefully he can keep this up.

QPR v Pissed on knob end match Fred
at 07:51 20 Sep 2026

Great game of football and proves what a great league the Championship is, to be honest the prospect of PNE match sort of does not alight the senses, but the game had everything. There is belief in this Rangers team and Stephan made the right call at half time. For me in 2nd half, Kamara, Madsen and especially Poku made the difference. Poku without doubt his best game in a QPR shirt and hope that gives him the confidence to push on. Big shout out to the crowd yesterday we really helped get the boys get a result.

What a comeback yesterday, down to 10 men from 15 mins in, then 2 nil down, a fantastic 2nd half performance to get a draw and could have gone on to win it. Brilliant atmosphere yesterday the Rangers support were really on it to help the team.

Good point, bad point - Report
at 11:31 14 Sep 2026

We are looking much more solid defensively this season, helps with a confident goalkeeper between the posts and 3 very good centre backs in Dunne, Edwards and Clarke-Salter. Also really like Kamara in midfield, strong ball winning player and you can tell the difference when he is on the pitch. Still need more from Poku and for me the jury is out on him, especially when he starts, goes missing a bit too much. I do like Vale but he needs to cut out those lazy passes and half hearted tackles, which sometimes puts us in trouble. But comparing our start this season to last season head and shoulders above that, and a good away draw at West Brom not to be sniffed at.

Good point for QPR at in form West Brom, maintaining our unbeaten away record. We look a much better team with Kamara on the pitch. Defensively much better this season.

Going along nicely, much more positive start this season. Tough away game tomorrow probably toughest away game on paper so far, a point at West Brom will be great. Either way need to beat Preston at home, just to get us those first 3 points at home we deserve with how we have been playing.

QPR and injuries
at 08:52 11 Sep 2026

Modern players seem much more susceptible to impact injuries than those in the old days, when players played on clogged up pitches, slower pace and not the finely toned athletes they are these days. I do wonder if modern pitches that are like carpets have an effect as well as over training. I just can't remember back in the 70s and 80s when squads were smaller so many injuries to players , or were they just harder players that played through a higher pain threshold as there was no more than 1 sub to replace them.
