Two city rugby
at 14:40 12 Dec 2025

There's no two ways the writing has been on the wall for the Ospreys. The WRU have wanted to get rid of them for a while. Not signing the last agreement was their opportunity to step in . Obviously they are Cardiff centric but they do seem to love the guys from Llanelli to. Didn't they beat the All Blacks in the early 70's 😂
The question is will there be three completely new entities or will they be rehashed Cardiff Newport Llanelli? Ospreys supporters will not go to watch a parochial suburb with links to the past. They may even not go to a new entity.
The WRU will now leave the second most populated area without a first class team. No wonder we are so bad on the International stage. Could it get worse? Possibly.

You're totally right. Very worrying for Rugby especially in South West Wales.

Never mind we all know the answer which will put Rugby in Wales right. Get rid of the Ospreys who are still producing the best players for Wales and reward mediocrity the Dragons because they have more members on the board and they signed the dodgy contract. Sucks doesn't it!!
The paucity of talent in Wales at present is not great! I just wish we were as bad as Scotland at the moment.

No sympathy for New Zealand. Never forgiven Andy Haden leaping out of the lineout against Wales.
Yes the SH teams can be arrogant as can the English. It would be lovely if Wales could get back to be arrogant like we were in the Seventies with the talent and results.

I remember the old Randy Andy amusing headlines in the 80s..I just wonder whether there could allegedly be a huge stink coming out soon.

There's a podcast with one of his bodyguards which was aired a few years back. Absolute horrendous individual who treated them like shite.

Hats off to this young lady. Brilliant result and what a role model for young sports people in Swansea and South Wales Really grounded young lady ..Hope she goes onto great things in a sport which is difficult to succeed in.

How they can even contemplate keeping the Dragons? Shows failure can succeed.

As a past big All Whites fan I'm getting to the stage where I really don't give a flying v to Welsh Rugby...Get rid of the Ospreys and I really won't give a damn about the National team either. Wales second city the second post populated with no first class side. Might as well dress it up and enter Cardiff into the Six Nations and World Cup.

Absolutely... fantastic post. Agree totally. It should have been like when Franco died in Spain. South Africa after apartheid. A line drawn under it. Hard for the victims but better than the repurcisions.

The only thing I'm going to say in this and it's an absolute disgrace that the murderers from all paramilitaries were given an amnesty...so why weren't the soldiers?

Balcon is well open. The water treatment plant has been going for about 6 years. The sea is a beautiful crystal clear now. The only downside is Nerja has now become popular and no longer a secret. Thankfully the clientele is still pretty decent especially off season .

I'm in Nerja now. Absolutely wonderful. The Feria is on. Loads of beautiful senoritas dressed in their traditional Spanish dresses. All slim and absolutely gorgeous.
Young men on horse back. Kids the same. These people know life is more than working yourself into the ground. Two swims this morning. Tapas for lunch.
Everybody smiling.

Padel Tennis
at 09:25 27 Sep 2025

Yes correct. I've played Pickle Ball a few times and enjoyed it. The good think about Padel and Pickle is that they are easier to play a reasonable game when you first start. Tennis is a lot harder to grasp, as it has so many nuances to it. That's not to be condescending as many good Tennis players play Padel and Pickle.
At grass routes it's a positive thing to see people of all ages partaking in a sport . For both physical and mental well being.

Hugely growing sport. I'm more of a middle aged Tennis player myself but have played Padel briefly in Spain. This is great news for sport generally in Swansea and South West Wales. 🎾
