 | Forum Reply | What are people’s thoughts on the Club pulling out all the stops in January ? at 12:07 11 Dec 2025
We've pulled out all the stops before with disastrous consequences. Basically fck that. Personally at long--long last we've pretty much arrived at a good place, I'd be more than happy to ''bob'' around mid table In the Championship winning some losing some, the thought of promotion fills me with dread, I hate that League passionately and everything It brings, can you Imagine watching and listening to that spitting pig Jamie Carragher every other Five minutes telling us where QPR are going wrong and who we should buy to stay In the Prem? No thanks. I know nothing about the clubs finances and I don't want to know either, I leave that to others. My opinion Is be thankful for what we've got and where we've go too (and I am). Leave things the way they are, we look good, we are good, lets roll with It, I'm not being negative just being mindfully careful. Tuesday night was ridiculously bliss and long overdue. |

When In the Prem mainly for evening games there would always be empty seats, probably due to various reasons. Evening games under the floodlights at LR are special, going right back to that Oldham semi final game when our goalkeeper saved a certain equaliser In the dying seconds will be In my fast fading memory for ever, how he got down to save that shot I'll never know, a couple of Woman actually screamed when It happened. The odour of Cannabis In the lower loft was rife that night against Oldham. You will never ever get that atmosphere at any new ground wherever they eventually decide to move us. |

A free kick anywhere around the oppositions penalty box should terrify the opposition, when we do get them free kicks well I don't know but I don't get excited anymore. When Terry Venables was our Manager our free kicks around the oppositions penalty box were good and had obviously been well rehearsed/practised. |

I left the Notts Forest ground at around 3-0 4-0 down In the 90th minute, we were looking for me car after crossing the river when a muted roar went up from within the ground so I said to the lads wahey we got a goal back, we hadn't got a goal back, they'd scored yet again but their fans couldn't be bothered to celebrate or had fell asleep. Jesus wept we were bad In those days, a car full of miserable grumbling QPR fans on a long journey home takes some beating. |

If I'm not mistaken he scored the equaliser against Brum last season, much Man hugging at the time. |

Gone a bit awry now, I've just got a letter giving me a CT scan on the Friday 2nd January, I'm a bit edgy now regarding train and match tickets In case the scan gets moved 24 hours into the Saturday, my last CT scan appointment got cancelled at the last minute and I had to go all the way to Banbury hospital Instead, that's why I was asking earlier when do they come out with the fixture changes. I'm quite sure nobody on here Is Interested but I've had three hospital appointments for next year cancelled and the dates moved back to December 2026, I'm okay with that It's unfortunate but they're you go. The cup game wont get sold out so with a bit of luck we might just be able to turn up on the day and get In. |

Gonna be a sod to get to, got to get a train from bloody Didcot, anyway whatever, when will they announce the fixture date change If there Is to be one? The last time I went to see us play them away It was at Upton Park, a proper football ground IMO, parked at LR and jumped on the tube at White City, great café's around Upton Park. |

'We trained too much' - McCullum published at 10:18 GMT 10:18 GMT England head coach Brendon McCullum, speaking to Test Match Special about doing anything differently: "Not from a preparation point of view. "If anything we trained too much. We had five to 10 training session leading into this game. "Something as a coach you have to be aware of. Sometimes there is a tendency to overdo things to make up for it. "As we all know in this game it is played in the top two inches. We all have to find way that we ensure that we feel prepared physically, technically and we are ready for the battle, but also to make sure we are fresh and make sure we can make those decisions in the heat of the games." |

Yes but too little too late, delaying the inevitable, all so frustrating. |
