| You cannot reason a person out of something they were not reasoned into. |

He just voted in parliament against the assisted dying bill. Seems he's ok with human beings being left to suffer, but not in favour of his cherished dog being left to suffer. WAC.

In fairness to Rupert, he is doing nothing unusual in the farming community etc, he is right it's a quick and humane way of doing it without the dog becoming traumatised or suffering. It just sounds a bit barbaric to us city types

He was wearing brand new boots that everyone thought he'd bought from Woolworths's that day.

I get that. My problem is with his hypocrisy and double standards in judging human life cheaper than his dogs life.

Its a hard debate, a human life in many respects is deemed sacred and should not be tampered with. The debate is not so much about whether assisted dying should be allowed, but about the safeguards that need to be in place to protect the vulnerable. Human life is held far and away higher than a dog, if a dog bites a human up the ars* it is toast and put down, if a human bites someone up the arse he gets a small fine or 3 years hard labour if he has done it at some sort of protest

That's fair comment. Worryingly you seem to have an unhealthy knowledge of arse biting and its punishments. Anything you want to admit to on here.... | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Only a healthy tradition of not getting bitten up the ars* by dogs
