The 3 coaches were coming to us with guaranteed work , earning money and paying their taxes and any other contributions required in our country , I think they’d even be allowed into Australia under those circumstances, and their regulations are tight

It’s more about qualifications to do that specific work mate.

It's more to do with people in the Home Office playing games. A well qualified candidate who would be asset they will pick through everything to try to find some reason, any reason, to reject. The only surefire counter is political clout, which large companies have and football clubs in wets Wales don't. On the other hand other groups find it very easy.

With the departure of Sheehan and the arrival of Matos are helping out again and things have gone back to how they looked at the end of last season.

To meet the criteria laid down that displays a competency higher than level 6 in the banding for football employment is an issue. Portuguese league 2 is way down the ladder for consideration. I think Liam did a big report into it. 👍

If it was only as simple as just get English staff, hope his network his wide because he will need help regardless. Annoying to say the least when you see far away people slip into the country uninvited and then actively encouraged to work. Beyond annoying .

Wrong, the rules are plain for everyone to abide by. Possibly we tried to be too clever or just didn't know the rules.

Anyone who knew what they were doing would have been all over this. Replacements would have been lined up in case this was a problem You wont see this from people who know what there doing And we don't

A direct quote from the above article. Meeting Chairman Tom Gorringe we understand was to evaluate the interview of Kim Hellberg who we are told wasn’t that impressed overall with the Swans club structure. That said he did warm to both Gorringe and Adam Worth the recruitment specialist at the club. As Hellberg mentioned upon his appointment at Middlesbrough he felt the north Yorkshire club had everything in place for him and a sporting director with great vision. As it stands the Swans do have some perceived gaps in their employment chain at the Swansea.Com. Does this reflect something of a desire to operate with Gorringe and Worth attending to many matters across the board ? Hellberg could see what some of us have been saying.

fact as of Sunday (it could be before that, you can’t see something until you actually see it) open source reviews are very clear in their suggested content on these three coaches. They are at Swansea. If that changes as it seems to do daily then Vitor won’t be gaining touchline support as quickly as he would like. The work permit situation is most certainly going to take time. Why ? First of all the club will use a special service to get through the work permit issue if there isn’t a qualified person within Swansea City. Players are different to coaches, the matter is a bit easier. However, since Brexit there is no immediate freedom of movement which means paperwork, endorsements and a satisfactory track record. Antonio Conte as an example would have no issues at all gaining a UK work permit. League 2 in Portugal isn’t listed as a recognised league to recruit from for immediate endorsement, but there will be other ways to gain a permit for these three staff in limbo. They also have to be endorsed by the Football League, via a Governing Body Endorsement, that can be tricky, and a Pro Licence (A ) UEFA holder is a must have. Or an equivalent. All three coaches are qualified. That helps. Surely these qualifications count for something

Is that from Liam ? Love him. Yes, but there’s clearly other issues. Could be background checks, anything . Not stating there are issues there.

You think? A customer of mine had a Swiss engineer rejected because the officer involved saw Technische Hochschule and thought it was the same as High School. He in fact had a very good degree from ETH Zürich, ranked 11th in the world list of Universities. It got sorted out, but they had to fight. Never assume that the UK civil service will follow the rules, they might, they might not, they might know what the rules are, they quite likely won't. And they are never wrong.

Someone at least should be collecting their P45 for not making sure, before hiring Matos. |
People will be surprised when it eventually comes out about the hiring process of Matos.

So did Hellberg turn us down or was he never offered the job. Gorringe has stated he was only one of several interviewed and also stated Matos was our first choice. The article above leaves me unsure.

You have to wonder has to how Cravatt has done so well in business with his lack of attention to detail at SCFC showing up with big important gaps, Gorringe's past goes before him though so perhaps Cravatt has put to much trust in him and Worth, I think the summer signings are showing up to be not what they should be, well some for certain going on performances and results.
