Read and clicked but don’t agree with some of that
Vive le difference
I view the term
“Good Christian family”
In a different context
Many people indeed the majority are not “ Christian “ by that I mean accepting Jesus as your personal saviour
My mum used the phrase all the time
Ergo all cristians are good people
They are not
Footballers need a little arrogance

Thanks for reading

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

So it’s just Christian family then.

It’s a challenging piece, well, I think it is.

The message lost for you in the Christian mention ?

To cite a persons background in this instance illustrates his good upbringing by his family, nothing more.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

No Ive lost no message
I’ve given my opinions
Good family is better
There again , good people have come from “ bad” families
Challenging ? Well it was interesting and well written

Excellent hard hitting article. Hopefully it will provoke some soul searching, but for others it is way past that.

I stopped reading just after Josh Key part. I'm not in a pack hunting him but merely providing my opinion on him as a player. That opinion having formed over months of watching him.

I won't be told who I can and cannot criticise. My opinion is merely MY opinion and my jam jar is MY jam jar.

Yesterday could have been different, could have had a better outcome. Matos has work to do and, in my opinion, we need a new right back.

You don’t hate him then !
Me too
He’s just costing us
Real supporters don’t like losing and having a few beers after doesn’t compensate
I’m
Concerned about lack of freedom of expression on here
Clearly Fireboy and his cums get away with pure hate speech
Unable to debate
Josh had problems and these people don’t help him

Real supporters go to games an hour away from their house.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Difficult one for me. Like many I have and experienced mental health. Sometimes in the moment fans lose sight that it's a person with feelings. As cruel and black hearted as this sounds, Key like many players have worked hard to get into a championship squad and we can't throw players under the bus everytime they do something wrong. But not many people in life have a say on a football club that has millions of supporters and lose alot more if results don't happen. This doesn't mean we have the right to be more cruel, but Key for his own sake needs to step back if he is not told already. And Matos in himself will only make things worse if Key continues. Its a difficult balance, fans pay and want to be entertained and have every right to pass an opinion. The issue is where does it become to much?

I feel for him it’s not easy to be in a job where you are failing
He knows this
He s a good pro , a nice man but this is a tough business
In business , you don’t shape up you’re put
Targets are a feature in many fans lives and fail to meet them and you’re out of a job
Doesn’t apply to all jobs though

Decent read that, Key needs to be taken out of the firing line and rested to just train and enjoy football again, cause I'm not sure he is enjoying at the moment his confidence looks shot.

And that's the difficult thing to do. Let's put money aside for a second. Key is hired to do a job and he is failing miserably. In any business your either witch hunted by other staff members or your boss or an arm is put around you to support.

This is no different in football, its just we work behind let's say a PC and he works in plain view.

Not once does it give right that just because he chose to be in the public light then we get freedom to go after him. Key needs to be taken out of the team and an arm around him. You cannot risk 1 player set the tone of a business and for it to lose money and decline. He isn't alone in the team performance there are 10 other men. But good management is identifing and handling situation and if it means an arm then so be it.

Whatever happens nice guy or not, we all agree Key is not up to it at present and possibly future. But hatred is and never should be tolerated.

Excellent hard hitting article. Hopefully it will provoke some soul searching, but for others it is way past that.

I agree re: "Excellent, hard-hitting article"! There are some on this forum who pontificate profusely about certain players, who shouldn't be played, and even who shouldn't be kept on the roster. If this one poster is so certain about his views, then he should personally reach out to Vitor and ask for a role as a consultant because he thinks of himself that highly. The only problem is that he's many, many hours away from the training ground, and doesn't attend any of the games.

Yes, Key has lost his way...for the moment, and for awhile now. But he's still a Swan and we should show him some support, or be silent...not hate. I'm sure Key realizes that he's not playing up to his standards, and to what we as fans, and his coaches, expect him to be. But if he's a true professional, he'll work doubly hard to regain his focus and form. If he can't then he'll be sold or let go.

I can see you being blocked for that.

The problem with blocking posters that you disagree with is you miss out on intelligent conversation by posters possibly more knowledgeable and sensible than yourself.

Reading between the lines, perhaps mistakenly, it would appear Josh Key is in a bad way MH wise.

It does beg the question why then, he was thrown into that cauldron on Sat at 1-0 down only to be, slightly unfairly it has to be said, blamed for the second goal. Watching it back I think he's trying to cover Burgess's error by coming deep inside but completely loses Thomas in the process...

Matos would be expected from his role at LFC to have a kid gloves approach with younger players and confidence, MH etc etc...

The decision seemed odd. Leon and Joey must surely have had a word? What of other options. Parker etc...

Personally I think Burgess and Key need some time away from the first team and Matos needs to drill a different back 4 utilising all our options especially Casey who many rate highly, myself included
