| 4-4-2 is it time to try it? 16:41 - Dec 14 with 732 views | TheAlpineShrew | With many people calling for Sam Parker to start at right back, in turn releasing Galbraith to play in midfield, who should start and where? Could we go Vigs Parker Cabango Burgess Tymon Galbraith Yalcouye Widdell Eom Vipi Idah Either as a flat 4 or a diamond? | | | | |
| 4-4-2 is it time to try it? on 16:48 - Dec 14 with 703 views | Fireboy2 | It was great to see matos put idah on and leave vip on. Id have the same gk and back 4 but have inoussa in on one wing with eom on the other, franco for yalcouye, depending on how the game is going bring ronald on for either winger, yalcouye on for galbraith and franco on for melker. | | | |

| 4-4-2 is it time to try it? on 16:53 - Dec 14 with 689 views | Whiterockin | That line up is far to attacking and fragile, there is nobody there to protect the centre of defence. The opposition would just run through us with the space that would be left in midfield. | | | |

Feck forgot about him. How bad am I, yesterday was his best game, he needs to be in the centre of midfield Yig, parker, casey/burgess, cabsngo, tymon, inoussa, stamenic, galbraith, eom, idah, viptonik.

I seem to remember Idah playing on the left as a second striker with Norwich

Obviously it’s fine when you’re chasing a game late on. Widdell or Cullen in between the midfield and Vipotnik I’d be much happier with.

Agree, start with Cullen on Friday because of the intensity and bring Widell on, normally I would say the other way around.

Agreed, cullen even though ridiculed by some has alot more experience than melker and will revel in this game. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Personally I’d still start Widell and bring Cullen on for him halfway through the second half when the gaps hopefully start to appear. Completely get where you and WR are coming from though. Big game, big atmosphere.

| 4-4-2 is it time to try it? on 10:53 - Dec 15 with 411 views | GVJack | I'd go 5 at the back but with the wingbacks being much more attacking and rest of midfield being more central. Something like .. Vig Cabango Casey Burgess Parker (RWB) Tymon (LWB) Stamenic Franco Widell Galbraith Vipotnik | | | |

That is a common sense team based on our playing staff

I like the formation, but Parker isn’t going to come in from no first team football and start straight away. Galbraith at wing back. If we’re going without wingers, Eom behind Vipotnik
| 4-4-2 is it time to try it? on 13:49 - Dec 15 with 309 views | RichardO | Still struggling to find the right team selection, for me Widell has now earned a starting place his initial performance against Man City and subsequent ones shows he can be a nuisance but also is quick enough to do the hard yards tracking back, is he getting better as he gains more experience. Cullen has always lacked that bit of pace up top or chasing, closing down players Rodon knew it and just pushed the ball past him and outstripped him for pace. Cullen is a clever player and in an open game can find space but how many geames has Widell been in a successful starting line up getting us on top in games keeping us tight he has got better and for me is the future. He does run out of steam but that is what subs are for. A perfect cross for Vipotnik to run onto from the left which normally has to wait for Tymon to eventually get forward which normally take so many passes to achieve. I would keep the same starting line up as our previous home games but would allow Eom and Widell to freely swap positions the good movement to create space and drag defenders out of position. Galbraith provides good forward moving options from defence, you could question playing him in the fullback position away from home or against better wingers but that is for another day, settle for starting 11 that gave us the foundation for the wins and use the squad keep us on the front foot. Not sure on Idah he does seem to hold the ball up well but just doesn't seem to have an eye for goals, Wales played onee game for the first team and scores all be it against lesser opposition, a goal scorers is a goal scorers. The question of Galbraith in the middle it has to be in that pivotal role but where does that leave Stamenic or Franco one of them would have to be dropped unless we change how we set up. Lots of problems to look at Casey seems a good bet but against Moore? | | | |

Moore is a good player at this level,no doubt but he’s made of glass, doesn’t like the physical stuff as it usually leads to him missing half a dozen games,we need to get into him from the start ,he won’t like it and that’s good for us

Cabango and Burgess should manage Moore it is the fast nippy players I worry about with them have said before Casey looks very mobile and doesn't take risks with his defending but obviously is a little inexperienced.

I like the idea of Widdell going full out for 50 mins then swapping him for Yalcouye. Who i seem remember being similarly all action before being placed on the naughty step.
