He is CLEARLY not a viable goalkeeper. It's a shame, as him aside, we were looking quite good. But you can't win games consistently with a bad goalkeeper - and Walsh is a bad keeper. Sadly none of our three keepers are good enough and it should have been addressed in the window. [Post edited 24 Feb 21:21]

I don't want to be insulting but the players read these columns and you can imagine the effect this sort of opinion can have on a young player. The answer is to have competition for the position. We have tried that so the only answer is to buy a good keeper.Players want to play so plenty in the premiership reserves.

| Walsh on 15:06 - Mar 15 by Benny_the_Ball | That's how I saw it. A lack of preparation and positioning rather than raw ability. Hopefully with more games he'll improve these aspects as this season he's effectively been thrown into the deep end to learn his trade. |
Walsh was scrambling back into position, as was Edwards, as their goalscorer was walking through our midfield. Not a single challenge, which clearly caused Walsh and Edwards to try and get back and neither were properly set. Yet again the Rangers CM fails in its basic job. Really poor, watch Hayden jogging.

| Walsh on 09:07 - Mar 15 by francisbowles | Interesting assessment, Brian. Could the step to the right be trying to see the ball with players in front of him maybe blocking his view. I was watching with Leicester commentary and Gerry Taggert said something like, it was a wonderful strike and that no goalkeeper would save it. They has a couple of ex players in their studio at HT and they were raving about it as well. They were all a very morose bunch apart from that. Almost made me depressed after the game, until I remembered the score. 'Gift' and 'gifted' were their words of the day. I shouldn't but I will,😂🤣😂 |
"Could the step to the right be trying to see the ball with players in front of him maybe blocking his view." Good point, but I'm just not sure to be honest, FB, and I don't like guessing. That's where the goalie coach would I'm sure be asking asking Walsh how it looked for him. Also, they'd have many, many camera angles to go through.

The whole first half,Joe was holding his arms & hands up trying to shield his eyes from the bright Sun streaming in over the far stand.Whatever happened to Goalkeepers wearing peaked Caps?
