You heard wrong. This is a new squad building activity planned which was rolled out at training. "salmon fishing? Yeah man!"

The QPR summer transfer rumours thread on 16:34 - Jun 20 with 6128 views | Andybrat | Long chat last night with various Reading fans, it’s where I live, and they say the Senegalese cb we are after is class and that they think he will go to Watford. He’s been offered a new contract

True. However, I wonder if he himself has a release clause in his contract? If so, and it's triggered, would take some effort to effectively increase the price by seeking to add in a SOC. But as you say, keep because if he builds on last season, he'll be worth double.

I think if they hit £8 million I think it is very difficult to reject. Are Espanyol, Rapid and Basel flushed with cash? They may be bidding around the region of £5-6 million, if that is the case definitely we should keep. Varane has the potential to kick on and fear not, Ben Williams is back on site

Kealey Adamson set to be done according to Twitter. Another signing from down under, right back. Also played in that Asian all star game vs United a few weeks back. Other names I keep seeing are Habib Keïta, midfielder at Clermont and Amadou Mbengue, defender at Reading. Edit: didn't mean to be a reply [Post edited 22 Jun 21:19]

The QPR summer transfer rumours thread on 11:49 - Jun 23 with 4289 views | derbyhoop | Andersen gone. And WLS reporting there is interest in EDB and Hevertton Santos. We're also set to agree a departure for Taylor Richards. Surprise, surprise, there is little interest from elsewhere in a player who's barely got on the pitch for 2 years. Allegedly interested in Luke Campbell, a 19yo keeper from Chelsea. Personally, I don't see it. We have Nardi, Walsh, Cooper (who looks set for a loan to Barnsley), Salamon and Halliday. Neither am I convinced about the supposed interest in Malik Mothersille from Posh. Scored 12 league goals in L1 last season, which is half Kelman's total. Kelman likely to feature in pre-season and there is alleged interest from elsewhere.

Mothersille is more of a wide player (most of his games this season at LW), so could definitely be legs in it if we don't get Saito. Would be a better option than an Alfie Lloyd, allows him to go out on loan etc.

Didn't we just sign some keeper from Spurs who likes to play in such a way as to have us sitting on the edge of our chairs? Not sure why that is a positive trait to expect in a keeper, but surely we've got enough boys to play the b'twixt the sticks role.

We need wingers. Not sure we have any wingers, other than Smyth? Lloyd is a striker and no where near good enough for us next season, certainly not week in week out. Dembele is a number 10? Chair is better central. Vale is probably a winger but coming back from a serious injury. Have I missed anyone? Even if we had Saito, we would need 1 or 2 more. Smyth should be back up at best.

Agree 100% and think I've mentioned it in a previous post. We have players that "can" play out wide. Dembele, Chair as you say, but both are clearly more natural centrally. The only natural winger we then have on the books is Smyth. Sutton obviously is but still breaking through. As I'm typing this a Charlton ITK on twitter has said that QPR are prepared to pay the 1m to buy Mothersille whilst Charlton have made no contact. We might hear more about this in the next few days. But a 21 year old winger with 26 GA this season at League 1 level. We should be really happy with this. Also continues our long overdue dive into League 1 talent. Morrison, Edwards, Dembele last year. Vale and rumoured signings of Mbengue and Mothersille all TBC for this year.

If true, it suggests we're not interested in Saito returning. Like Saito, Mothersille is a right footed left winger.

Does our Data Analytics package this close season only extend as far as Peterborough and Reading? Weird. Also, no signs yet of hiring any experience. I’m glad we appear to be focusing more on the English leagues, but no wily pros yet.
