That’s quite hilarious isn’t it. Hus first move of the game he tackled himself after getting in the area. Next time in the same position he didn’t look up and passed it to a Portsmouth player. He hasn’t much of a football brain for this level.

Eom trying hard but very weak in the ball at times. Widdle doing ok though.

| Swansea City v Portsmouth : Match day thread on 20:44 - Dec 9 with 1728 views | AnotherJohn | Disappointing half that I thought Pompey shaded. We have got into good positions a few times but lack sharpness up front. Widell did not make the most of our best chance, and generally looked pretty lightweight in midfield. We made more use of the long ball to the wingers than in recent weeks and it hasn't really worked. I think it will take a defensive mistake or a stroke of luck for us in score with this set up. | | | |

Yep, better 2nd half after the substitutions and a cracker from Cullen. Long way to go though to get up to the level we need to be at to be comfortable in this league.

Another win and another good performance. Sounded like we should have had more but the extra goals will come. Six out of six this week delighted for Matos and the players.

It.was a tough even match, we looked the more likely to score, especially in the second, great timed substitutions made all the difference, especially inoussa. Tough game on Saturday, we will be there, id take a point now.

Streets ahead of where we've been in recent games which reflects credit on players and coach. Not what you'd call free flowing and we did still have the annoying habit of stopping the ball dead when we didn't need to, but against a Pompey side whose one tactic appeared to be "Get it to Josh Murphy ASAP" it was enough. Pleasing cameos from Inoussa and Yalcouye, with probably the most Cullenish performance Cullen has ever pulled off. Came on, did little but fall over and give the ball away for 20 minutes, scores a cracker, then reverts to the former for the final ten.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

You don't like Cullen that's fine. But he is a model professional playing for club and country. Totally dedicated, doesn't complain, not overpaid and just gets on with his job and commits 100% to the club. Last seasons top scorer under difficult management. We should be thankful he plays for us, sometimes we over analyse the players we buy when the talent is actually here.

Cullen is very good in these situations A goal threat and ability to link play, if we keep him in this role he will be very good for us, if we pick him as a starter ahead of our other midfield options I think we’re picking the wrong team

If I may …I also think Cullen is a top pro but has never really maxed what potential he has It’s not “ hate” to question players abilities He’s been too periferal too often Tonight he got a screamer so good on him Matos is intelligent and has already dropped the ludicrous prospect of starting every game with Key who’s also a non complaining good pro Fact is , he’s not up to it Matos sees this However Galbraith is wasted playing full back ss we need his considerable ability where it’s crucial , right in the middle of the park He is outstanding He will also have noted Ronald and how goddam awful he is I expect Inousar to replace him Same with Idah , surely a criminal waste of money who we are stuck with Great buy , not It’s encouraging though as , even on his own? Vitor clearly sees it right and he will prove to be a successful coach He will show how badly served we have been with previous “coaches” Blackburn did us a favour tonight too

Matos did not drop key he was ill. Tonight he continued with basically the same team as Saturday but held Vipotnik back and will probably start with him on Saturday as he was rested tonight.

Thats correct but some people dont notice the defensive off the ball work that he does, all the think is that wingers should just be taking full backs on.
