We have seen our own players having to change footwear because they have been slipping all over the place you would think they would know what to expect of their home pitch?

We saw against Oxford that we kept an attacking threat up top well into the latter part of the second half making hard for them to gain any momentum which even with a couple of iffy moments we looked comfortable in defending against their attacks, a step up in performance from WBA game? The crowd seem to appreciate the performance and showed it during the game much better atmosphere in the ground. Long may it continue.

The one benefit from my personal perspective , the lower the attendance the more chance of me parking nearer the ground and less of a walk .Hopefully we win tonight and there'll be a spring in my step on the way back to the horse.

I sort of summarised that with my comments about the substitutions seemingly not weakening the side , when you consider the chance that Cullen skied into the South stand , we still seemed to be an attacking threat going forward.

| Swansea City v Portsmouth : Match day thread on 20:46 - Dec 7 by Dr_Winston | Still a capable Championship player. Never kicks up a stink when on the bench. Clearly held in high regard by the club. Only going to be 32 by the start of next season. I wouldn't rule it out either. |
Made his money, always out of the limelight, been told he’s very level headed. He would sign on for the same sort of contracts Naughton and Allen signed. Exceptionally low with appearances added. Consecutive managers pick him because he’s useless ? Def not. Agreed. 👍

Should always start with your best XI. Maybe he’s more tired than the rest from Saturday but really shouldn’t be experimenting at this stage.

Imagine Idah is being seen as adding energy to the team. VP wasn't great on weekend and gave it away few times with one header. Don't get me wrong I would have him as first choice, but imagine he is lined up for Saturday and will come on second half. No real issues from me, let's see what Idah can do. Shame to see Parker dropped, but happy to see Key not in starting. [Post edited 9 Dec 18:58]

| Swansea City v Portsmouth : Match day thread on 08:55 - Dec 8 by RichardO | Martin had Fulton out in the cold for so long until he realised that he needed him. Would it really have made sense to let him go this summer after by the end of the season we had lost Grimes, Allen, O'Brien, Darling and Naughton's experience from the team. Let us remember Grimes moved on, Allen returned after moving on and struggled fitness wise, O'Brien used us as a means to recover his place in a starting eleven and Naughton came here after losing his place in the Tottenham team and strugled for pace, Darling had also gained a settled place in the team as well but like Allen in the past moved on, we have found it very hard to keep that settled team a mix of youth, quality and experience, it is not right yet. The last few games Eom seems to be getting back to his best after losing his way, Widell is yet to find a consisted 90 minutes, Stamenic has been hit by a situation that has obviously had an affect but had he settled in yet anyway. Yalcouye was in and out of the team, the sending off was not unexpected as a couple of times a second yellow would have been justified. Franco does seem to offer us a level of experience now and Galbraith is coming on in leaps and bounds. I think all of us would want Galbraith in the midfield but getting the right formation there has been our problem. Is Fulton now surplus to requirements now and can we afford a player who cannot last 90 minutes maybe not but can we see the combination of the others being strong enough over 90 minutes to dispense with him yet? If Casey stays until the end of the season then I think we can let Fulton go given the role Fulton now seems to be employed in. [Post edited 8 Dec 9:42]

He did and Martin wanted him sold that Jan window, teams came in but couldn't get anywhere near his salary. However, unlike some players i could mention from then, he took it on the chin and not once did he complain. We caught him that season when he was on the bench pre match, asked him if he was annoyed. All he said was, I’m happy to be playing for Swansea.
