Grimes, Naughton and Routledge were the same. Both will get game time over the next few weeks.

| Swansea City v Portsmouth : Match day thread on 10:04 - Dec 8 by onehunglow | How old ? Cheeky , you’re obviously new Note the “ That means not what you think Read my other comments and uparrowed them No player “ hated” , just the way they play A fine line , true enough Some posters like a player or manager or not They can’t stand any thing critical I liked Martinez , loved him even but some ended up hating him ,As a man .They still do years later These players mentioned are taking up places others could fill better It’s relatively easy to differentiate between a username and their comments Some don’t get this Have a good life , seriously and remember this could be our last die on earth so make the most of it Be happy, read a book, play good music , make love , pray or stroke a pussy cat Think of those who would love to be still around Now uparrow that |
People seem to forget that these are good players they haven't progress to where they are by chance, how a team fits together is rather hit and miss, confidence ebbs away from players and manager, things disrupt the team sometimes to the good and sometimes badly, we haven't had a settled midfield all season. We can give our opinion but often there are things out of our range of knowledge, often two sides to ever persons view point be it spectator, player, manager and owners. Really thought we dealt well with what Oxford could throw at us but Portsmouth is another challenge to hopefully to build on.

It’s not a case of forgetting anything It’s as you say , opinion Now , reading the patronising material we do , it’s clearly a case of the more enlightened fan being pre eminent and only his opinions carry merit Fans are not dumb Coaches? Well I d challenge anyone to suggest the likes of Martin, Duff,Williams and Sheehan are those who know that much better Fans can see effort being employed and can also gauge incompetence without being registered coaches Our coaches over recent seasons have been , by and large, poor and it’s why we are where we are Thanks

I’m not particularly a Cullen fan good or bad, but thought he played well when he came on Saturday. He just kept things simple, Leon style.

I thought he was average at best and blazing that shot over when he had plenty of time and space basically sums him up as a forward. He had a little spell around this time last year that has convinced some that he's a lot better than he actually is. Looking over his entire stint here, from when he was absurdly keeping Whittaker out of the side right up to now there's never been much quality on display. About on the same level as Oli Cooper for me. Probably going to end up doing the same thing.

You can’t seriously believe that Martin, Duff, Williams and Sheehan don’t know substantially more about football than you do? Or have I misunderstood you?

As I said above, managers rate him higher than fans do. Not a starter for me, but he’ll get plenty of game time this season.

A few have commented on how the subs didn't add anything to the match , imo they didn't cost us the result , slotted into their respective positions without any apparent weakness and I thought it was interesting to see Matos having faith in his decisions when he could have kept the majority of substituted players on to see the match out .

Just saying what most people now think. Tallies with what I heard at the time. A better player than Cullen who shouldn't have been playing second fiddle to him.

Personal issues between a young manager and player. Learning curves for both.

Given the number of players he fell out with at Rangers RM's learning curve must be pretty flat.

Two sides to every story. There’s not always a right and a wrong. There are quite often two wrongs. One has form for falling out with players, the other has form for acting up at clubs.

Whittaker was accused of being a pain at Derby under Rooney, another prickly coach without much of a clue about what he was doing. Perhaps that's the common denominator? MW has done just fine everywhere else. Superb at Plymouth. Now top scorer for the side currently sitting second in the table.

He fell out with management at Plymouth too and was dropped for a period. I highly doubt that was an ability issue. Ask their fans what they think of him now. If you want to believe he was the innocent victim though, I won’t be able to convince you otherwise.
