| Skates away ticket details announced 17:00 - Dec 9 with 2686 views | franniesTache | absolute f*cking pisstake of requirements, 7am start at the ground, be there probably before 10am to stand around and do nothing, forced to use coaches, and looks like they're going to try and force people in the blocks nearest the home ends to sit. Complete f*cking sh*t and ruined what should be the best away day of the season. I can't believe our own fans said this was a good thing, noddy f*cking pr*cks. https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/ticket-and-travel-information-port | | | | |
| Skates away ticket details announced on 17:14 - Dec 9 with 2108 views | Southamptonfan | What do we reckon it will go down to? It starts on 17 aways. I have always been able to get tickets for games where we get 2000 or more, with 10 aways. 7am start is a bit extreme isn't it. This is so that we all buy coffee and breakfast I assume. 💷 And good luck with getting the front rows to sit down, especially if we are in the lead 😂 [Post edited 9 Dec 17:15]

don't think it's the front rows they want to sit, think it's the blocks closest to the home fans, and not a f*cking hope that happens. I reckon some will be available to 10 aways but not many.
| Skates away ticket details announced on 10:08 - Dec 10 with 1664 views | PatfromPoole | A number of us can’t get a train to Southampton early enough on a Sunday morning, so are going to have a night out in Southampton on Saturday night and stay up there overnight. Can see a fair few doing this. | |

| Skates away ticket details announced on 17:56 - Dec 10 with 1373 views | 1ASIN12 | I wonder how many the club are going to hold back for sponsors players and friends for this game? And what’s the betting they’ll have a coach or coaches rather than a double decker bus. It’s no surprise we have to be at the ground at 7 as Portsmouth had to be at their dumps an hour before the bus departed and the 1st lot we’re at St Mary’s by 9:30 . Also wonder what the reasoning is around only picking up at Sy Mary’s I’d thought they’d at least give us a couple of options. On the subject of away tickets and the club holding some back there is now a block of about 25 / 30 tickets available for Norwich on Saturday. Watford do away groups for away games and on their site it tells you how many supporters are in each group . It’s a shame saints can’t do something similar , every supporter with x amount of away games are guaranteed a ticket if they wanted one . [Post edited 10 Dec 19:17]

Indeed it was great going down on the special train and always missing the kick off
| Skates away ticket details announced on 20:23 - Dec 10 with 1253 views | Southamptonfan | I understand the bubble, but seriously this is overkill. No food or drink on the coach!!! So I vant sit there with a coffee? On the coach one hour before departure. So some of us need to be at St Mary's by 7am. For some who don't live in Southampton, they will be leaving home at about 5am. No trains that early on a Sunday. It's well.over the top. | |

It is possibly over the top Southampton fan. However, on the other hand it’s only one match and if it stops you or anybody else ending up in A and E because some loony Portsmouth fan wants to pick you out for a kicking is it not the sensible way to go ? Equally, it greatly reduces the chances of some over zealous Hampshire Plod arresting fans for no reason in particular, ending in them having a completely unnecessary criminal record with all the problems that go with it. As for getting up early. I don’t go to away matches anymore ( to old ) but last time we played Leeds away didn’t the coaches leave at 04.30 for a 12.00 kick off ?

I went to that game at Leeds, and it was very early! But I took a flask of coffee, sandwiches, some other refeshments, watched some films on Netflix on my phone sat comfortably on the coach But to say I can't bring my coffee, some other refreshments or a sandwich for a day from 7am to about 5pm is wrong I think. They can still have a no alcohol policy. Have the bubble, that's understandable but we will all be driven under police escort straight to the ground, I don't see why it has to be such an early start for an away game 12 miles away and can't eat or drink, when we are forced to be on a coach for two hours plus. We have been given the option to spend a load of money at St Mary's for a coffee and some breakfast before the coaches leave. And then spend a load of.money.on drinks at Fratton Park. How kind of them!! £20 for the coach £35 for the ticket and then spend a whole.load more on food and drink as I won't be allowed to bring my own. It's very convenient for them and a bit naughty I think. [Post edited 10 Dec 22:18]

Point taken about the food. I was more concentrating on your mild moan up about the early start. Unfortunately it is what it is now, and the only way round it is to watch on TV I suppose ? It’s a pity that the rivalry between us can’t be more like Liverpool and Everton’s. Who knows, one day in the distant future it may well be.

But that just makes it less interesting, if we’re all sat at st Mary’s with half and halfs it’s not a derby

Exactly what I found when I logged in just after 9:15 and got mine . You can bet your bottom dollar they’ve held some back - it will be easy to tell as I expect they’ll have a coach to take them and we’ll be on a double decker bus .

i'd guess there was probably about 4-500 greyed out, most of which were directly behind the goal, i'd put good money on those being held back for corporates, which is an absolute f*cking p*sstake and offensive to those mushes who put in the leg work of going round the country last season and this

Exactly, I hope these don’t remain empty when we are at that dump. Can you imagine how much the Portsmouth lot would rip into us if that were the case. Like you I’d like to have some answers but I bet we don’t get any. Is a shame we haven’t got an active supporter group like other clubs. I think it was Arsenal who only had just over 650 tickets left for when they play Bournemouth out of their allocation after all the cooperates and players had taken their cut. Criminal really .

| Skates away ticket details announced on 12:20 - Dec 11 by SalisburySaint | As I’ve stated on here before some are reserved for regional supporters groups (who are normal fans) ,so not just corporates or players Difference is however is regional supporters have to say how many tickets within their limits they require for each game prior to tickets going on sale, and members who get tickets allocated are generally from my experience on the same attendance record levels as those who get them using season tickets Not sure That applies to corporates and players, and their tickets are normally in separate blocks to regional supporters groups. |
No issue with the regional supporters clubs and i'd guess that little block to the right houses them, but the massive block behind the goal and to left is surely far more than just regional supporters clubs

But do all these people meet the requirements of having been to 17 away games? Why should anyone jump the queue ahead of loyal fans? I have contacted the Daily Echo and the club because why should 400 fans get tickets automatically? These could be people who have only been to one away game or none at all, because they fancy enjoying the atmosphere. Surely they should meet the loyalty requirement? Why should club staff get to go if they don't otherwise go to games, so loyal fans miss out? Totally wrong. [Post edited 11 Dec 13:06]

That i know of Northern Saints (which i think is the biggest), London Saints and Welsh Saints. doubt the total of those combined is more than 50 people, in fact i think London saints is less than a dozen.
