Wouldn't get hopes up for Sutton. Between Dembele, Yang, Madsen, Andersen, Morgan, Kolli, Chair, Bennie, Frey there are still others ahead of him in the queue for attacking game time.

Strange incident , as Smyth was probably lucky not to see red.
However the ref gave a free kick . He must have seen the incident as Smyth didn’t commit a foul as he was ahead of the defender . So he gave a free kick for a punch to the stomach which is weird and if he saw it then he completely ignored the defender pulling the shirt and holding Smyth back as he tried to run into the box .

Very strange at best .

If they they are going to give bans for things the ref sees in a game, then why not change the rules to allow that instead of getting the refs to lie about it in their post game report?

Because if they did that they wouldn't have anything to hide behind when they don't want to apply the rules consistently.

This is clever by QPR.

Don't challenge it as it makes little difference this season. Come next season, when there is another incident, challenge the heck out of it if we need the player at a more crucial time of the season.

Then the EFL will be under pressure to respond in the same way, and we get to squeeze them hard after taking a hit that means little to us overall.

zzzzzzzzzz

Apparently his wife has received abuse on her SM. I really hope it's not from actual R's fans.

Obviously we can pretty much say what we like on here short of racism etc. but going onto players' personal SM is unacceptable let alone their families' SM. What's wrong with people? Especially as Paul has tried his heart out in a difficult season.

I’ve seen this along with some idiot on one of the QPR Facebook groups proclaiming Paul Smyth is one of the worst players to play for us

I’m nailing my colours to I like Paul Smyth

Is he the best player I’ve ever seen at Loftus Road , no not by a long way. He does however play with guts, spirit and a desire to do well, should he score more goals, probably, is he final ball at bit disappointing, it can be.

But he would run through brick walls for the club and I for one appreciate that when I think back to others who have rinsed the club and couldn’t care less

When I approached the club for a birthday message for my lad Smyth did it and sent a great message which made a 9 year olds birthday his mate who is the other QPR fan out of 500 odd kids at school was extremely jealous!

Also on a non football angle the fella is pretty funny

He was at the kids fanzone yesterday signing autographs etc.

They did a Q&A with him and one question was “What’s your career highlight “ his response was “The right hander on Friday” 😂

He then said he was joking in case anyone wants to get offended

I like him but he needs to cut out the petulant shit. That was Bartonesque levels of moronic. If he'd been sent off and we went on to lose that game we wouldn't be feeling so comfortable about it.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

Not a great surprise. There's a kid on Twitter basically Tweets about him constantly. Couple of dozen messages about him yesterday alone. If you dare to say anything positive about him he's straight into you.

Smyth's pretty inoffensive. Limited player, works hard, gets picked by the manager most weeks, doesn't score or assist enough. Difficult to see why he's attracting this sort of hatred.

quite why his wife is getting stick is beyond me, we have some absolute prats following this team

His wife used to be my sons teacher a few years back, she really looked after him and was a really nice down to earth person
