Possible next managers... 08:07 - Apr 25 with 41251 viewsGloucs_R

I can't see this blowing over with a happy outcome so looking forward. Who works you like to see take the helm?

Options could be...

Gary O'Neill
Russell Martin
Liam Rosenior
Steve Cooper
Will Still

Gary O’Neill has already famously made a reckless and desperate choice for us. Let’s see if he’s stupid enough to do it again.

Not a hope in hell our hierarchy could get someone as good as Rohl, or the Plymouth bloke.

Will be an unknown (probably best), someone hateful (hello Nathan Jones) or someone incredibly stupid (hello Wayne).

I still hold on to a dream that Marti stays, but more chance of getting Pep than that it seems.

I would check out Rob Edwards.

Ancelotti - no chance he'd take Brazil over us

I just asked Grok who the next manager should be and one of the candidates it came up with was Gareth Ainsworth.

His Luton experience may have broken him... but I wouldn't say no to Edwards.

But my preference is for Ruben to force Nourry and Marti to sit down and work this out like adults - for the sake of the team, fans and club.

Promising young Swindon manager doing remarkable things.
Or maybe not.

Grok is his ‘agent’

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

What serious person is going to come to a club where they are expected to report to a 28 year old?

Ex-Hearts manager now available too. Promising coach, nice guy and tells it like it is in post-FA Cup 3rd Round defeat interviews. Should fit right in here.

Jokes aside but O'Neil's name has been thrown around a lot. I mean why would a Premier League manager want to come to a struggling mid Championship team?

I think it's generous to call us a mid table team!

The only things I can think of is because we are in London and he knows us.

The knowing us may also be a deterrent.

Tsk you know kidspeak innit.

'In Gen Z slang, "mid" means something is average, mediocre, or not particularly special.'

I'd love Gary O'Neill, but I think we're operating at the Steven Schumacher end of the market sadly. Nathan Jones? He's doing a great job at Charlton. He can come and teach us the ways of respectful celebration. If he wasnt such a colossal di*khead he'd probably be a good fit for us.

There is this bloke I know called "Olly"

Apparently is mad as a box of frogs.

Loves the club.

Also answers to the name of Ian.
