I share the frustration of most about the comms silence, the mystery around the new manager, and Nourry-speak (must be odd for players like Field & Chair, talking to someone in that role who's your own age with no discernible football experience and seeing them publicly discuss your aptitude in certain roles)...BUT being naturally glass half full if not quite full on happy clapper, I'm seeing some of these key players being happy to extend as a positive. I'm sure they wouldn't be doing so without some inkling of what's happening on the manager side. |  |

("SAM Field has extended his time" could just mean he has agreed to stay on for the upcoming season.)
Might be just a change in pay and conditions/clauses.

No.
But I do think the players will have a view, and having an idea about the managerial plans will form a part of that for both player and agent. And any player worth their salt uses an agent who focuses on (and seeks reassurances about) the footballing side of what's on offer as much as the financial side.
And I stand by my point that it must be weird for players having someone their age with no true football experience acting as DoF. | |
