Apologies if this is a Spackman, but I can't see any reference on LFW to the fan sites meeting with Nourry that took place on the 4th December. I would have thought someone from this site would have been present?

Still not convinced about what happened around Furlong but interesting to see an agreement hasn't been reached. As he is not in role and also hasn't agreed departure terms, I assume it puts the redundancy theory to bed?

Difficult to argue with (1) the attempt to communicate with the fans and (2) most of the answers to the questions, except for the total meaningless waffle about Loftus Road's facilities. The ol' if you want us to invest in some half-decent facilities, then we will do so and not spend on any more Burrells or Kones schtik. Any long term thinking going on there? Still seems a total shock in the Loft that quite a few people may want a beer and a pie at 230pm. Surprised he didn't mention the plans for more safe standing.
However, the three reasons I am currently holding a dim view of Nourry = Marti, Furlong and the sacking off the cup debacle, for obvious reasons this doesn't change the needle on the first two. Has he talked about our general cup philosophy anywhere?

One line regarding player injuries jumped out at me:

GDPR has been around since 2018.
Has QPR or any other football club given this as a reason for withholding information about player injuries before now?
Or, have sporting organisations always obtained the necessary consents before releasing details about injuries?
There is a 'substantial public interest' exemption to GDPR and journalism is one of those conditions:

I know nothing about journalism law but if you are covering a professional sport then I would have thought information about the physical condition of players was in the public interest. Although I stand to be corrected.

Nourry does say that there is a settlement in place with Paul Furlong.
But he also appears to be passing the buck by saying that the board just acted on the recommendations of Jon De Souza and Alex Carroll:
"Obviously, this is an employment matter that’s been settled between both parties so there’s a limit to what I can say. But in this case, Paul, Alex (Carroll, Academy Director) and Jon (De Souza, Head of Methodology) have had regular discussions over the last calendar year about the development of the Dev Squad, and what the strategy is and what we’re hoping to achieve there. My understanding is that those conversations between the three were very honest over the course of the year, and ultimately the methodology department and Jon makes recommendations to the board and then we (The Board) have to make the final decision." | | | |
