Probably more about sensible player management. If they had perhaps another day to recover it would be a different team out there.
Don't under estimate how tiring these international trips can be for players, especially for Dieng where (from experience) getting around Africa is a little bit more testing and the distances involved much greater. Also fair to say that Dykes appeared to be running on empty in the last Scotland game. |  |
