If you equate 'success' with 'staying up', bear in mind others may not share your downwardly managed expectations. Mind you, Marti seems to agree with you, judging by his comfy pre-Burnley chat on the Offish.

When you consider what this club achieved in the early 80s, first half of the 90s, and then again in 2010/11, it's saddening.

I hope Myke doesn't mind me saying this but I think what it meant was that we successfully stayed up as opposed to it being considered a successful season. At least that's how I read it.
